Alabum / Alabon - Aujourd'hui Llanfair-ar-y-bryn au nord de Llandovery (Carmarthenshire, Pays-de-Galles). Fort romain qui d'après la Cosmographie de Ravenne etait situé entre Bremia (Llanio) et Cicucium (Y Gaer). En supposant que le b représente un m spirant, nous pourrions rapprocher le nom de *alamno-/alauno- "errer, se promener" (Delamarre, 2012). Dans ce cas, un fort romain se baladant étant plutôt rare, il est fort probant qu'un hydronyme soit à l'origine du nom.
